Rolex has long history and there are many classic models discontinued. The quite regrettable one is the Turn-O-Graph. It was originally launched by Rolex in 1953. However, these classic models are revolutionary in the history of watchmaking and watch design.
The main feature of the gold and steel case imitation Rolex is the rotatable bezel, which was a disruptive innovation, creating a brand new market.
The first Turn-O-Graph was ref.6202 and the steel ref.6202 looked very similar to the Submariner. Later Rolex released various models to enrich the model of ref.6202, including steel and gold edition. The Turn-O-Graph 6202 was also Rolex’s first sport watch with gold and steel case. The white dial knockoff Turn-O-Graph was also considered as the first instrumental watch of Rolex.
